Uwharrie River Farms is a 938 acre cow and horse farm in the heart of Randolph County, North Carolina.  Located just a few miles from Interstate 85 at Highway 311, we are easy to find.  We hope you'll pay us a visit!

Brock Griffith Wins North Carolina Trainer Challenge!!  Way to go Brock!  To see a picture check out our NEWS page.  You can also read more about it on the Equine Extravaganza website.

We are a full service facility offering the very best in professional equine care and training.  We are not a fancy show barn, we like fancy show barns, but it's not what we are.  We aim to please the equestrian who strives to have a great relationship with their equine partner working on natural horsemanship skills and enjoying miles of privately owned trails.  For the horse lover who wants to share in the camaraderie of like minded horse enthusiasts we have a terrific Equine Club designed to empower owner and horses alike.  Have you heard about our horsemanship classes? You'll find more information on the Calendar page.  Come join us on the trail!

Horses

Our horse facility is managed by Brock Griffith and his wife, Leisha.  Brock, a talented natural horsemanship trainer, is in charge of making sure all the horses at Uwharrie River Farms are happy, healthy, and have a willing attitude. He also teaches our popular horsemanship classes and is available to work with your horse, young, green or just needing a tune up.   Leisha teaches riding lessons and helps look after our equine residents.

Cows

Randy Farlow of Farlow Farms runs his cow-calf operation at Uwharrie River Farms. He's our cow, pasture and hay specialist, overseeing all aspects of our working farm.  We partner with Randy in raising all natural grass fed beef; straight from our pastures to your freezer. Contact us to get on the list for the next happy healthy animal going to "market".  We group four or more poeple who want to share a cow for their freezer. You will prepay your part and we'll call you with the pick up date at the farm once your meat has been processed and packaged.

Louise

Louise is a very special cat who insisted on having her own webpage on the farm website. No, she doesn't mouse in our barns or even greet guests, though she would like to do so. She lives a soft and spoiled life with one of the farm's owners.  She does occasionally have her own column in our newsletter gossiping about things she's overheard. You can email Louise at Louise@uwharrieriverfarms.com with any interesting news you would like to pass on.
